Netherwood Farm sits on the Midlands Meander in Nottingham Road, and it is one of my favourite rooms to play. I have DJed and MCed a lot of weddings there, and no two have felt the same. This is what I would tell any couple thinking about it.
Rustic, with a view
Netherwood is a farm venue that manages to feel rustic and elegant at the same time. You get big views across open fields and a warm, easy atmosphere from the moment guests arrive.
It has the Midlands countryside feel couples come up from Durban for, without giving up any comfort.

The setting works for a daytime ceremony out in the open or a cosy evening reception, and the scenery does a lot of the work either way.
Whichever you choose, the sound for your ceremony gets its own system so your vows are heard properly.
Music that follows your day
I build every playlist with the couple. Gentle, romantic songs for the ceremony, something easy for drinks and dinner, then the tracks that get everyone on their feet.
Having played Netherwood so often, I know how the room sounds and how the night tends to build, so nothing is guesswork on the day.
Your MC as well
Running the formalities is a big part of how a wedding feels. As your MC I keep things moving on time, with a bit of humour, and make sure your guests feel part of it.
When the DJ and MC are the same person, there is no awkward handover between the speeches and the party.

A few things worth sorting early:
- Book your DJ 12 to 18 months ahead. Saturdays in peak season go first.
- Decide on cold sparks before the run sheet is final, so they land on the right song.
