A good MC is invisible when things are going well and indispensable the moment they are not.
My journey as a master of ceremonies began in Toastmasters competitions, where speaking under pressure is the whole point. Twenty-three years of weddings have sharpened it since. I have hosted intimate garden ceremonies and 300-guest receptions, and the job is the same either way: read the room, hold the timeline, and make everyone feel looked after.
Renowned for delivering high-quality service across the wedding and corporate event industry, I bring the same preparation to a family speech as to a keynote.
As a Durban Wedding MC and Midlands Wedding MC, I have hosted receptions at venues across the region — from the timber-roofed reception hall at Brahman Hills to the pine forest chapel at Haycroft Farm, the hilltop views at Netherwood, and the sandstone hall at The Gallery. Every venue has its own quirks, and knowing them ahead of time is what keeps a timeline holding even when the day does not go exactly to plan.

Photographer, videographer, caterer and venue coordinator all work to the same cue. Nobody misses the cake cut because they were outside changing a lens.

Prepares your speakers
A quiet word before the speeches: how the mic works, how long they have, and where to stand for the photographs. Nervous speakers do better when briefed.

Rain, a late bus, an uncle who wants to say a few words. Something always shifts. The room should never feel it, and with an experienced MC it does not.
