About The Groves
The Groves sits in the Caversham Valley among orchards, hay bales and grazing cattle, with the Mpofana river running through the property. There is an English country garden of roses, lavender and citrus, and the whole place feels farmed rather than staged.
The chapel takes 140 on the pews and stretches to 200, or you can marry outdoors on the Orchard River Deck, a wooden deck over the river. The Stables — a converted stable block — handle arrivals and pre-reception drinks, and The Venue seats up to 200 for dinner and dancing.
The Manor House is a restored thatched house with seven bedrooms sleeping up to 16, looking over the river and the lawns. Self-catering or catered, depending on how much you want to think about.
