About Netherwood Farm
Netherwood is a working farm on the R103 at Nottingham Road, and one of the venues I am at most often. Alongside the wedding side there is the Blueberry Café, a brewery and the Farmyard Kids, so the estate has a life of its own beyond weekends.
The chapel seats between 130 and 180 indoors, with the ceremony set on the hilltop looking out over the Midlands. The reception venue takes up to 240 — a contemporary, glass-fronted room that is one of the better-proportioned spaces in the area for a big guest list.
Lidgett’s Grant Lodge, a self-catering farmhouse sleeping 20, keeps the closest family on the property. That is usually the group still dancing at the end, and it changes how the last hour of the night runs.
