Being part of a wedding is special, and not only as the DJ. I get to help set the heartbeat of the day. On 10 May I celebrated with Erin and Ashton at Brahman Hills in the KZN Midlands, and I knew from the moment I arrived it would be a good one.
A day at Brahman Hills
Brahman Hills never gets old. The views over the Midlands hills set the tone before a single song is played.
Brahman Hills venue detailsThe Oasis Venue, uplit
Once the formalities were done, the celebration properly started. The Oasis Venue (formerly The Stables) was beautifully decorated, and my uplighting added a lovely finishing touch.
As the sun went down behind the hills, guests gathered to toast the couple, and then it was time to dance.
That first dance
Their first dance gave everyone in the room goosebumps, and it set the tone for the rest of the night.
A floor that never emptied
Erin and Ashton's friends and family were amazing, and everyone came ready to celebrate. I mixed timeless classics, pop hits, dancefloor anthems and a few surprise tracks that had people singing at the top of their voices.
The energy did not drop all night.
In their words
This is the review Erin and Ashton sent after the wedding.
“Both my husband & I couldn't be happier that we chose Jarryd to be the DJ for our special day... Every single guest has complemented us on what a fantastic party the night was - their only complaint being their sore feet from all the dancing!! Thank you Jarryd for such a phenomenal time!”
